Mount Smart Road

MODE was involved from the inception of the project, assisting Kāinga Ora with bulk and location studies to assist in determining the optimum layout of the site, through to resource consent, building consent and construction support.

The five-storey project accommodates 40 one and two bed apartment units with a Ground floor Community Room.

Careful consideration was given to the low maintenance of the building, using colour-through fibre cement cladding and pre-coated aluminium joinery and screening.

The design of landscaping and parking amenities provide a sunny outlook, good passive surveillance, accessibility and the promotion of outdoor activities to suit the various needs of future tenants.

The building is built to Homestar 6 standard.
