Lynton Road Apartments

MODE’s Auckland team has recently overseen the realisation of another apartment design for Kāinga Ora: 20-22 Lynton Road, adjacent to the Sylvia Park Retail Mall in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

The six-storey project accommodates 30 one and two bed apartment units within a communal green space. The delivery of these new warm, dry homes will help Kāinga Ora continue to boost the supply of much-needed housing for New Zealanders.

MODE has been involved from the inception of the project, assisting Kāinga Ora with bulk and location studies to assist in determining the optimum layout of the site, through to resource consent, building consent and construction support. The building is a significant new addition to the Mount Wellington area, with the use of high quality materials and a form that will wrap around the corner frontage and provide a positive addition to the urban environment.

Careful consideration was given to the orientation of the building, the design of landscaping and the communal amenities; particularly to provide a sunny outlook, good passive surveillance, accessibility and the promotion of outdoor activities to suit the various needs of future tenants.
