C30 Vietnam
MODE was the winner in an invited international competition for the urban and conceptual planning for the C30 Complex in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Client: Private Client
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, VIETNAM
The area, close to Ton Son Nhat Airport has great potential to stimulate development in the existing district centres of District 10 and Tan Binh. These districts have challenges due to complicated traffic systems and high densities of traffic. The MODE team took design inspiration from elements of the traditional Vietnamese village where each function is defined by its own structure, and these functions are arranged orthogonally. The design team used the function of a public library and a space called Knowledge Square as the centrepiece of the project and placed the educational facilities to define its edges.
