WA Schools PPP

As lead design consultant, MODE delivered eight new schools under Western Australia’s first Public Private Partnership in the education sector.

In a staged delivery program through to 2023, the four new Secondary Schools delivered are Aveley Secondary School College, Coastal Lakes College, Harrisdale Senior High School and Hammond Park Secondary College.

Flexibility was the driving consideration in the design, to allow spaces to respond to a variety of learning configurations. The use of operable walls, multiple teaching walls, ergonomic and reconfigurable furniture, and flexible power and data infrastructure, allows spaces to be reconfigured quickly and easily between, and within classes if required, allowing teachers the flexibility to respond rapidly to take advantage of educational opportunities as they arise.

As well as the main education buildings, there are indoor and outdoor sports facilities, science and technology centres, resource centre and arts learning, which incorporates facilities for visual arts, music, and digital media.
