Cultural Infrastructure

MODE has a long standing community commitment policy which enables us as designers to provide services back to community based organisations, including councils, to generate memorable and inspiring spaces that, through good design, contribute to the lives and experiences of the users.

Public and community projects require a fundamental understanding of the collaborative and consultative approach to project delivery. MODE is well versed in working with multiple stakeholders and client representatives, being able to distill the key outcomes that will fully address the client’s program, functional and aspirational requirements. These projects must be designed to allow for flexibility and adaptability in their use, as the community expectations and needs will change over the life of the buildings.

MODE has delivered multiple projects across Australia working with local government and community based organisations. These projects cover a broad spectrum of building types including public squares and plazas, sporting facilities, community centres, child care centres and recreational facilities.
