The Myilly Point Heritage precinct, comprises of four 1930’s houses that represent three historic house types – Audit House, Magistrates and Mines House, and Burnett House. Few of these houses remain, and the site was listed in 1995 as a precinct on the Heritage Register protected by the Northern Territory Heritage Act. MODE provided strategies to retain and enhance the cultural significance of the precinct. The master plan, guided by the Heritage Management Plan, also prepared by MODE and the Australian ICOMOS Charter for Places of Cultural Significance, aimed to provide the National Trust with a conceptual framework for the future care of the precinct.
