MODE Welcomes New Studio Manager in Melbourne

16 August 2018

MODE Design is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Studio Manager, Tim Bloomfield, to the Melbourne team.

Tim Bloomfield brings to MODE a wealth of knowledge gained over more than 20 years’ experience in architecture and interior design. He has a passion for finding the right solution for any design problem.

Following on from his role in senior positions at leading architectural and interior design firms in Melbourne and Perth, Tim’s appointment to MODE comes at an exciting time for the organisation, benchmarking on his successful delivery of numerous residential, workplace, mixed-use, health, and aged care projects across Victoria and Western Australia.

With knowledge gained from completing a Graduate Diploma in Property, Tim has been able to assist clients with financial and feasibility analysis of their development proposals. To gain a better understanding of business strategies, leadership, and the motivation of clients, he completed an Executive Master of Business Administration at the University of Western Australia in addition to his Bachelor of Architecture.

Tim has a diverse range of experience encompassing the full spectrum of the building development process, from strategic briefing, master planning, concept design, through to detail design and commissioning. Some of these include leading the interior documentation for The Victoriana Residences, a multi storey building with high value and premium apartments, The Glen, which included 555 apartments in three towers to be constructed above a shopping centre.

Other significant projects include; strategic briefing, space planning for the University of Western Australia’s Business School, a 23 hour day surgery for Perihelion Health, interiors for Midland Hospital, St Bartholomew’s House, Men’s Refuge and Aged Care facility, interiors for St Louis Aged Care in Claremont, Hemisphere Apartments, St Peters Apartments, 405 Oxford Street, the Geraldton Aquatic Centre, and CSIRO Division of Mineral extension on the Curtin University Campus, along with other residential, health and commercial developments throughout Victoria and Western Australia.

In the coming months, MODE plans to secure and further develop unique projects from the Melbourne studio.

With Tim on board, the studio will be planning for the long term by building on the existing project base, while growing the office confidently across a broader range of sectors and varying project sizes.
